Daraty has been shortlisted to the semifinals of GIST TECH-I 2016 competition and we are one of 102 chosen from a total of 1000+ applications worldwide. The GIST Tech-I Global Pitch Competition is part of the U.S. Department of State’s Global Innovation through Science and Technology (GIST) Initiative, this year GIST took place in the Silicon Valley at Stanford University!
To get to the finals, Daraty had to get as many public votes as possible during the public voting phase from April 1 to May 1. Thanks to you, our amazing friends, we were able to be among the 15 finalists!
We would like to thank you once again for all your encouragement and support regarding our participation in GIST Tech-I Competition in 2016 Global Entrepreneurship Summit! It has been a crucial factor in getting us to the finals of this competition among 29 other competitors from around the globe. Yesterday was the last day of the summit in Silicon Valley, where many influential personalities and global business leaders shared their experiences with young entrepreneurs. Among those were President Obama and Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg!
Unfortunately, we were not able to participate in the competition and represent Syria there because of travel complications. It might be a disappointment for Daraty, but it won’t prevent us from carrying on until we achieve our goals!
We’re confident things will be better with next opportunities with your trust and support which we are very proud of Stay tuned for more news!
